We are designers and gemologists, and this dual perspective guides every decision we make. Our work does not stop at drawing a design or selecting a stone. We follow the journey of each piece from the very beginning, from sourcing gemstones to cutting, design development, metalwork, stone setting, and final polishing. Whether a stone is chosen already cut or prepared specifically for a piece, we pay close attention to its colour, light, balance, and overall quality. These elements determine not only the beauty of a jewel, but also its longevity and its ability to be worn and passed on over time.

Our sourcing process is built on long-standing relationships and trust. We work closely with suppliers and traders with whom we have collaborated for years, often family-run businesses whose knowledge has been passed down through generations. These relationships allow us to understand the origin of the stones we select, the conditions under which they are traded, and the people behind them. We regularly meet our suppliers, review their selections together, and exchange openly about their work, their stock, and their practices. This human connection is essential to us, and it informs the way we choose our gemstones.

When appropriate, particularly for larger or exceptional stones, we rely on independent laboratory certifications such as GIA, Bellerophon, or GIS to ensure accuracy and transparency. Certification is not used as a marketing tool, but as an additional layer of control and reassurance, both for us and for our clients. It complements the trust we have built with our partners and supports our commitment to quality.

Alongside these long-term relationships, we are attentive to initiatives that seek to improve traceability and working conditions within the gemstone industry. For certain collections, we work with stones sourced through the PIAT initiative and the MOYO program, which support transparent supply chains and women-led mining communities. These gemstones offer full traceability and are selected deliberately for projects where their story and origin play a central role. They can also be incorporated into our designs upon request, allowing clients to choose stones that align with their values as well as their aesthetic preferences.

Ethical responsibility, for us, is not a claim but a practice. It means knowing who we work with, choosing transparency whenever possible, and remaining honest about the realities of gemstone sourcing. It also means refusing to compromise on quality or integrity, even when it would be easier to do so.
